Conduit Enterprises engages in several activities which benefit the communities it supports. In addition, we have a clear internal Corporate and Social Responsibility policy and manage the same through out our supply chain.

Charitable activities

Each year Conduit dedicates its operational resources to various charitable causes. We recruit for and staff these events without charge as we recognize the unique benefit that the call center industry is positioned to supply charitable organizations.

Over the last five years Conduit Enterprises has supported many fundraising activities including raising £120k for Sport Relief in 2008, £100k for the Noah’s Ark Appeal during a three day ‘Radiothon’ in the same year and £109k for Comic relief in 2009

Conduit Enterprises recognizes our responsibility for the impact of our activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere. We proactively promote the public interest by encouraging community growth and development, and have voluntarily eliminated practices that harm the public sphere, regardless of legal necessity.

Diversity Policy

Conduit Enterprises actively pursues the shaping of our business to suit people of all backgrounds and situations. We have been recognised in this area by the Welsh government who awarded Conduit the ‘Jobcentre Plus Diversity Award’. This was awarded due to Conduit’s pro-active working hours and revised working conditions established on behalf of single parents.

Dignity at work policy

Conduit Enterprises believe that employees have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. We have a ‘Dignity at work policy’ that is additionally managed throughout our supply chain.

Conduit’s has a clear objective which is to provide environmental awareness within our organisation and to comply with current environmental legislation. We do this in the following ways:

Confidential and Non Confidential Paper Recycling

We have contracted a confidential waste company who provide consoles for use on all floors for our confidential waste paper. They shred our confidential waste on site and recycle the shredded paper.

We also provide consoles on all floors for non confidential paper and we collect and dispose of this into a recycling paper waste skip which is collected twice weekly from the business park. This waste is shredded and recycled by an authorised recycling company.

Electrical Waste

Conduit is responsible for the collection and disposal of any small faulty electrical equipment in the building i.e. broken microwaves, kettles etc. We employ a recognised Environmental waste disposal firm to remove these items and to furnish the necessary certificates of destruction.

The Electrical contractors assigned to Conduit are responsible for the disposal of all light fittings etc., in an environmental friendly manner.

The IT Department within Conduit is responsible for the collection and disposal of all computer components and employs a recognised Environmental waste disposal firm.

Conduit is currently testing light sensors for all offices and open areas within the Company.

Print Solution

The majority of printers, photocopiers, faxes & scanners which Conduit use are Multi Functional Machines. These machines are unique cartridge free designs which help reduce waste into the environment. We utilize these machines by scanning to email, by faxing to email and therefore reducing the amount of paper waste. Conduit also has a contract, with a charitable organisation, for the recycling of used print cartridges.

Car Pooling

Conduit works in conjunction with Vipre who run a car pooling scheme within Eastpoint Business Park. Vipre representatives regularly visit our canteen to talk to our staff members regarding the car pooling scheme. We also display newsletters and notices from Vipre on our intranet.

Waste Oil

Our canteen management Company in Conduit Enterprises Ltd are contracted to employ a recognised environmentally friendly waste company to collect and dispose of any cooking oil etc.
